A casting is not an exam: it's a meeting. The recruiter is looking for the right person for a specific role, and hopes it will be you.

Before. Read the role and the script until you know them well, without necessarily learning everything by heart. Learn about the production and the director. Plan your journey to arrive ten minutes early. Dress simply, in the spirit of the character, without a costume.

On the day. Arrive with a smile, even if you wait a long time. Listen to the casting director's directions: they may ask you to play the scene differently. That's not a failure, quite the opposite: they want to see whether you can adapt. If you make a mistake, start again calmly.

After. Simply say thank you. Don't follow up every day: you will be informed. On CineLinker, you can track your application step by step in “My castings”: sent, seen by the recruiter, under review, then the answer.

And if it's not you this time? It's almost never about talent: age, height, voice or chemistry with another actor often decide. Every casting helps you improve and get known.

One last tip: a real casting never asks you for money. If someone does, report the listing to the CineLinker team.
